For the fourth year, Mission Belonging–affiliated Veterans can apply for the 2026 FAWC Scholars Awards. Workshops are open for registration. Applications close March 1, 2026.

The Fine Arts Work Center (FAWC) and Mission Belonging are once again extending an opportunity for veterans to experience a week of world‑class writing and visual art workshops in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Now entering the fourth year of this partnership, two scholarships are available for Mission Belonging–affiliated veterans to immerse themselves in FAWC’s renowned Summer Workshop Program.

 

Highlights of the 2026 Summer Workshops

FAWC’s signature Summer Workshop Program will offer 64 week‑long, open‑enrollment workshops in visual arts and creative writing across nine weeks, running from June 21 to August 21, 2026. Each workshop is taught by nationally recognized artists and writers, creating an intimate, rigorous, and inspiring environment for creative growth.

 

Participants can expect:

  • Small, focused classes led by award‑winning faculty
  • A vibrant community of artists and writers at all stages
  • Free public readings, artist talks, and special events
  • Dedicated time and space to deepen their craft

About the FAWC Scholars Awards Program

FAWC is committed to expanding access to the arts by offering a wide range of scholarships for low‑income artists and writers, young artists, and individuals from communities historically underrepresented in the arts. All scholarships provide free tuition and housing for one week of participation in the Summer Workshop Program.

 

Mission Belonging Scholarship Details

Mission Belonging is proud to offer two scholarships for veterans who participate in Mission Belonging programs.

 

Each scholarship includes:

  • Full tuition
  • Housing for the week
  • In‑person participation in Provincetown, MA

Who can apply: Any Veteran who participates in Mission Belonging programs.

When: One week between June 21 and August 21, 2026.

Where: Provincetown, Massachusetts.
