Watercolor Grids: A Visual Arts Workshop with Veteran Artist Valerie Acosta
Join Veteran Artist Valerie Acosta for some watercolor grids, where we will be playing with watercolors and making patterns. This is an easy-to-follow quick tutorial that can be used to augment your work, trading cards, post cards or any other project! As always you are welcome to follow along or bring your own project to work on while hanging out with the community on zoom.
Suggested Supplies:
- Watercolor paper
- Watercolor
- Brushes
- Artist or washi tape
- Black pen or marker
- White pen (optional)
Valerie Acosta served in the United States Air Force for 20 years before retiring in 2022. She is a self-taught visual artist and published photographer. Her mediums include acrylic, gouache, watercolors, pencils, pens, clay and wood. Her art has been exhibited at the Arches Gallery in the Workhouse Arts Center in Virginia. She is also a DoD-certified Master Resilience Trainer and loves to teach resiliency skills that can support mental health and replace misery with happiness.
