Transform the language that shaped you into poetry that fits the life you’re building now. This workshop invites veterans and civilians alike to reclaim military language, undo the old formation, and write the manual we actually need.
Ticket sales from this fundraising workshop will benefit Mission Belonging programs for veterans, service members, military families, and health care workers. A limited number of FREE tickets for Veterans, Service Members, and Healthcare workers are available on a first come, first served basis. This workshop will be recorded, and a link will be e-mailed to all ticket holders once the recording is available. Recording will only contain workshop lessons. All other participant video will be edited for user privacy. Only registered participants will have access to the recorded workshop.

I spent twenty years in uniform learning to serve, to lead, and to endure, until the institution that shaped me decided I no longer fit its mold. Now I write from the no-man’s-land between belonging and exile, between the discipline of the Army and the ambiguity of civilian life. I’m a trans, bi, Humanist veteran still haunted by the promise that the Army would give me purpose, and still stubborn enough to build meaning anyway.
