Event Day Photos from our live performance with Wounded Warrior Project Independence Program Caregivers.
This summer at Community Building Art Works, we partnered with Wounded Warrior Project, working virtually with a group of extraordinary Independence Program caregivers who have been supporting their severely wounded warriors while also living their own singular lives, balancing the dreams they have for themselves. They were honest and vulnerable and wise and funny. This past weekend, these resilient caregivers took the stage to share these evolving stories and perform a collaborative poem. It was an honor and privilege to help them tell their stories.
